This magnificent creature oozes grace, charm and majesty. I wanted to capture it's calm, emotive expression set against the cool atmosphere of a wintery forest. The stag/deer is recognised as a symbol of spiritual authority. More precisely, the symbolic meaning of the stag is given as regeneration, intuition and gentleness. I think it's a human tragedy that these beautiful creatures are mindlessly hunted by the upper echelons of society in the name of sport!
