Ink on card
33 x 52 cms
Framed and mounted in a gold-look frame
This is the last of the monochrome series of abstracts. I called it 'Spider Colony'' because to me the long tendrils of ink looked like spider legs - lots of them and the adjoining parts were the web. I created this the same way as the others in that I dropped the ink onto wet card and used a straw to blow the strands, allowing them to go whichever way they wanted. I also tilted the card so that the pools of ink converged together.
