The last of the trio of Kent Park walks paintings. This one painting shows the view of the park showing the old stone steps on the left, broken in parts and with bushes overgrowing it. It is in contrast with the newer red brick-built steps on the right, clean and clear, leading to somewhere else. These steps are symbolic of the disappearing past - the overgrown stone steps - the real present - the brick steps and the inevitable future - the brick steps disappearing into the background.
