Continuing my passion for flowers, I created this painting of the White Moth Orchid over a number of weeks and months. The slick, thick texture of oil paint perfectly illustrates the voluptuous forms of the petals, buds and stalks. The white petals contrast strikingly against the black background. The yellow in the open middle of the orchid is echoed with small pops of yellow on various buds and heads around the flower.
