One of my first abstract pieces, I created this painting in a happy mood during the optimistic summer months being inspired by the Leeds Caribbean festival. The flamboyant flavour and spectacle of the costumes and dancers in the Leeds carnival is depicted by the orange, red, green colours and the energy and movement of the carnival procession along it's route is represented by the shapes and the white figures of birds flying overhead. This is where Nature and Humanity come together to rejoice.
